Labor Day Weekend is a chance to pump the brakes and wish some sweet peeps a happy birthday | North Carolina Family Photographer

As we celebrate this Labor Day weekend, I can feel summer saying goodbye.  It’s in the cooler mornings and the lower temps throughout the day.  It’s in the local college campus and the energy that it emanates.

But hold up!  (‘Pump the brakes’ as my cousin Mark said to me recently.)  We have some August birthdays to celebrate.

Every month, I am honored to highlight the best and brightest that I have had the pleasure of working with.  Birthdays are exceptional milestones where we get to spend another year with the people we love and doing the things we love.  Isn’t that worth celebrating?!

To Jacki, who has great joy and reminded me that photography is not for us, but for the generations that come after us.

To Richard Falvo, who shared his love of gardening and his knowledge of summer squash when I photographed his family this past summer.

To Michael Falvo, who is madly in love with his wife (It’s obvious, don’t you think?)
