A Family Portrait Session with Grandparents | Morrisville, North Carolina

Last weekend I had the pleasure of photographing this sweet family in Morrisville, North Carolina.

Even though it’s February, and it can be cold out, the sun and the light at this time of year is so stunning.  Another reason for the shoot to happen over President’s Day weekend was that we had the added bonus that Grandpa and Grandma were in town visiting from Minnesota.  (Grandma agreed that it was waaay colder up there!)

I think this little gal enjoyed the snuggles with Grandpa

But little brother was having nothing to do with this sweetness!

Sibling portraits are always fun because of the expressions that come from the session.

Photographing multiple generations in a family is one of my favorite sessions to shoot.  It’s the expressions and interactions of everyone together that shows how much they love one another, as well as how authentic they are in their relationship.  Look at how they hold onto one another.  Look at how they gaze at one another.

It may be cold outside during these winter months, but every time we gaze at a photograph of the ones we love, there’s a sweetness and a warmth we get to relive.
