50th Birthday Party | Calistoga, California
When Patricia called me to photograph her 50th birthday party, she told me about her plans to invite family and friends to a big bash, but what impressed me about the most was her thoughtfulness and compassion for the people who would be attending. She wanted to ensure everyone’s photo was captured so she could share it with the guests afterwards and she wanted a photo album showcasing all these images so she could re-live and enjoy the party for years to come.
Held at the Castello di Amorosa in Calistoga, California, this shindig allowed everyone to gather in one place. When you are the gal with the camera capturing images, what you see is friends and family catching up and hugging one another, what you hear is laughter, music, and shared stories, and what you feel around you is a sense of community.

Family, music, and a blessing started this party, and it got really heated when the flamenco dancing began.
Family and friends gathered together to toast, to dance, to laugh, and to celebrate.
To close out the night with cake and wishes is the way to celebrate a birthday.
