The Confirmation Ceremony in the Roman Catholic Church is one of seven sacraments. A sacrament is a religious ceremony or an act of the Christian Church that is considered an outward and visible sign of a commitment to your faith.
Confirmation is, in fact, the sacrament where young adults make a commitment to their faith with a sponsor by their side. This article “What is Confirmation in the Catholic Church?” goes into great detail about the ceremony and beliefs behind being “confirmed.”
